Earlier this week, Sony officially announced the upcoming availability of its Xperia Z1 Compact smartphone, which should arrive on shelves in February, followed shortly by the Magnetic Charging Dock DK32 specifically designed for it.

The upcoming device will be similar to the DK30/DK31 docks that Sony launched for the Xperia Z Ultra and Xperia Z1 before it, a recent article on XperiaBlog reads.

It comes with a magnetic connector, as well as with a series of interchangeable adapters, which allows users to charge their devices both with and without its cover.

Sony is expected to have the new device sized similarly with the ones available for the Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra. The already available docks might be, in fact, compatible with the new smartphone, provided that their magnetic cable has been removed.

No pricing has been unveiled as of now, but it should cost the same as DK30/DK31, it seems.
