US wireless carrier AT&T will launch one of the latest Xperia devices from Sony, namely the Xperia ion, yet it seems that he carrier might also get another such handset from the company, the Xperia S.

The smartphone was just spotted at the FCC with support for the wireless carrier’s network, yet this does not necessarily mean that it will actually be launched at this operator.

However, it does suggest that it could be used in the country, and that Canadian wireless carriers operating on the same frequencies as AT&T could receive it.

The Sony Xperia S was unveiled at CES this year with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor inside, a large 4.3-inch 720p Reality Display, and a 12-megapixel Exmor R camera on the back, with HD video recording capabilities.

Moreover, the phone packs 32GB of internal flash storage, NFC support, HDMI-out, WiFi and Bluetooth, and GPS receiver. It runs Android 2.3, but will be upgraded to Android 4.0 soon.
