MP3 players might not be all that popular in today’s world, but this hasn’t sopped Sony from adding some new models to its Walkman range with the B170-series devices.

Available with both 2GB and 4GB of storage space, these colorful Walkman’s weight just 28 grams, but despite their small size they can deliver a whopping 18 hours of playback time without requiring a recharge.

Furthermore, Sony has also thought about those of you in a hurry and added to the player a special charging mode that requires the MP3 player to be recharged for only 3 minutes for delivering 90 minutes of music.

Other features include a built-in equalizer, a voice recording option, and an USB port, all being topped by a special ZAPPIN function that previews a snatch of each track until you find the music you like (stop this by pressing the ZAP button again).

Sadly, pricing wasn’t announced yet, but the B170-series should arrive later this month.
