Japanese mobile phone maker Sony is expected to bring to the market in the not too distant future an Android-based device that would fall in the phablet category, and which might sport a 6.44-inch screen.

Said display was spotted online recently, suggested to be indeed planned for inclusion on one of the company’s future Xperia devices, but no specific details on the matter were available.

However, a recent report from cnmo suggests that the screen will be packed on Sony’s previously rumored Togari smartphone, which will be able to take on phablets such as Galaxy Note II or Huawei Ascend Mate.

It remains to be seen whether the rumor will pan out or not, as well as what hardware specs will be included inside the phone. Apparently, it might be able to deliver a resolution higher than 1080p.
