Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system, is on its way to Sony’s Tablet P, and will arrive on May 24th, the vendor has confirmed.

Initially, the platform update was expected to arrive on the tablet before the end of April, but it got delayed by a few weeks.

However, Sony has already confirmed plans to deliver the new software as soon as next week, with a new set of features packed inside, such as "Small Apps," the possibility to run remote control on top of other applications, and the like.

A few weeks ago, Sony made the Android 4.0 update for its Tablet S devices available for download, with the aforementioned treats inside.

Most probably, the roll-out will take place in stages, which means that not all users will receive it at once.
