Stream TV on the go

LocationFree TV is a system that allows users to take their livingroom on the road. It has a broadband connection to the base device and can broadcast content from devices like recorders, DVD players across the Internet.

Sony's late LocationFree TV products uses a dedicated portable terminal, like a Wi-Fi connection LCD TV. The new LF-PK1 has no complicated demands, and will stream directly to laptops that run Sony's LocationFree Player to a PSP.

This is an interesting proposal from Sony, using the PSP as a window to the livingroom. You can connect directly to the 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi adapter in the base station and everything is on the go. You now need to make just some minor adjustments.

The system works smoothly, but there is a slight delay between the selecting options on the PSP and the screen result. The base station's Wi-Fi Transmitter is restricted to some channels but this is not such a big problem, because the juggling of the channels depends on the local conditions.

The base station pack is priced at 278 USD, but this is the price you have to pay if you want your TV streamed on your laptop or PSP.
