A couple of weeks ago when we first saw Sony's PRS-T1 eReader hacked to reveal its Android OS internals we were left wondering how can this be achieved, but this is no more the case as the author of this hack has now added instruction on how this can be performed.

Available over here (via Google Translate since is written in Russian), the hack is pretty straight forward, although it does run you through quite a few steps.

The good news is that after you finish them, the Sony eReader will effectively turn into an Android-powered tablet able to provide you with the full power of Google's mobile OS.

The only downside is that the eInk display used in this thing won't be able to keep up with many of the tasks run by tablets, such as watching videos or playing games, but you could install alternate eReader apps, such the Amazon Kindle app, to make the eReader a lot more flexible.

A video of a hacked PRS-T1 running the Amazon App Store, Dropbox and a few other apps is available right above the post courtesy of The Digital Reader.
