October is just days away, which means the annual international health campaign, known under the name of “Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” is drawing near. This also means that several organizations will rush to show their support the best way they can, including by launching some limited edition products. Sony and Nintendo have already announced such products, with Sony offering two Vaio notebook bundles, while Nintendo is bringing a special DS Lite Limited Edition Pink Ribbon.

Sony's offer includes a pink version of its recently announced Vaio CR notebook, which comes with a 14.1-inch LCD, a 1.3MP camera and the computing power of an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. It also boasts built-in Bluetooth, DVD-burner, and a matching case and mouse. If you don’t see this as a worthy investment in breast cancer research, then maybe the other Vaio notebook could draw your attention.

The SR also comes with a glossy pink design, and weighs approximately 4 pounds. It is equipped with a 13.3-inch LED backlit display, and features an impressive 320GB of storage space. Also, the Vaio SR comes with a “Switch” mode that allows users to toggle between high-performance and power saving.

Because money is the most important aspect of such charity campaigns, you should know that the two bundles start at $870 and $1,399, respectively.

As for Nintendo, the company has decided that a nice white DS Lite with a painted Pink Ribbon on the cover should do the trick in making people aware of how serious breast cancer really is. For only $129.99, you will only get the DS Lite Limited Edition Pink Ribbon gaming console, with no games or a nifty carrying case included. However, you can be sure that $5 out the $129.99 will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Also, Nintendo has vouched that a minimum of $100,000 will be donated for the cause.
