14 DAY TRIAL // The new SEL-2470Z (Zeiss FE 24-70mm f/4) lens for 35mm full-frame E-mount cameras is now shipping across Asia and can be pre-ordered from select online retailers as well as the official Sony store.
According to SonyAlphaRumors, there was a small production error that affected a few lens batches that were meant to be shipped to Europe this month. Sony decided to retire the lenses affected by this error, thus delaying the actual shipment date for European stores by 3 to 4 weeks.
While previously the lenses were scheduled to arrive at the end of this month, if you try to place a pre-order, you will be notified that the shipping date is set to mid or late February, depending on the country your are ordering from.
In the US, the Zeiss FE 24-70mm f/4 ZA OSS is set to hit store shelves starting with the end of February at a price of $1,198 / €875.
