Rumors on the upcoming Sony Odin and Yuga smartphones still make headlines these days. Both are expected to be Sony’s new high-end Android phones and will probably be officially announced next year at CES 2013.

XDA forum Senior Member Spectre51 was kind enough to share some information on the upcoming devices, along with details on their availability in the US.

For the time being, the only info available on the handsets is their size and weight. The Yuga will measure 138.6 x 71 x 8.1mm and weighs 140g, while the Odin measures 131.6 x 69.7 x 9.8m and weighs 147g.

It is also worth mentioning that the former comes with a water-resistant body, whereas the latter is said to feature IR remote.

According to the cited source, both smartphones will surely be available unlocked in the US via Sony stores, though we don’t have a timeline yet.

Unfortunately, AT&T will not carry any of the two devices. It appears that the operator has decided to drop the Sony Odin in favor of “the fall release Xperia flagship.” There are no additional details on that one for the time being, as Sony is being very secretive.

The only US-based carrier that has been somewhat confirmed to offer either of the two Android phones is T-Mobile. However, the operator is still evaluating the launch of Sony Odin, but has yet to decide whether it’s worth it or not.

That’s all the information leaked by Spectre51, though he promised to share more details as soon as they become available: “That's all I have for now. I will of course share more when I get it. Can't wait for these phones though they look absolutely amazing.”

We will keep an eye out for this one, so stay tuned for more updates in the matter.
