Previously known as Sony Xperia Odin, the Xperia ZL is expected to be launched on January 7, one day ahead of Consumer Electronics Show 2013 (CES) opening.

Although some of the phone's specs leaked several weeks ago, the Xperia ZL's design was still a mystery until today.

It looks like the folks at XperiaBlog have recently uncovered the first press photo of the Xperia ZL directly from Sony's servers.

The smartphone is said to ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, along with a powerful 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and 2GB of RAM.

The Xperia ZL is also rumored to boast a huge 5-inch full HD (1080p) capacitive touchscreen display and a 13-megapixel rear camera with Exmor RS sensor.

The front-facing camera of the device is weirdly placed on the bottom instead of the upper side, as seen in the leaked picture. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
