Sony Xperia ZL, the 5-inch Android smartphone that was officially unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in early January, is expected to make an official debut in the United States in near future, with a price tag of $759.99 (587 Euro) attached to it.

Sony Mobile already had the phone listed on its US online store, yet the company did not offer specific info on how much it would cost when released until now, XperiaBlog notes.

Today, however, the smartphone can be seen in the Sony Store with the aforementioned price tag attached to it, and with a Coming Soon tag on top, though it remains to be seen when exactly it will debut in the country.

Users interested in being kept in the loop with Sony’s plans for the device can now head over to the company’s website and register their interest in the phone, so as to receive more info on it.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the handset was made official with a 5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixel) screen, as well as with a quad-core processor packed inside, and 2GB of RAM for increased performance capabilities.

The device was launched along with the waterproof Xperia Z, featuring the same specs as this phone, packing a more compact design.

“Xperia ZL. With ultra-high end smartphone specs like a stunning Full 1080p HD screen, a stellar 13MP 1080p camera, one touch NFC capability and a truly compact 5" design – it's the best of Sony crafted to perfection,” Sony notes.

The smartphone sports 16GB of internal memory, microSD memory card slot, a front camera for video calling, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and GPS receiver, and a Battery STAMINA Mode to provide users with increased battery life. The handset was announced with Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform loaded on top.
