Sony continues the global rollout of its latest flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z3+ or Xperia Z4, depending on the region.

Surprisingly, the Japanese company announced that an upgraded version of the Xperia Z4 would arrive in the United States at Verizon Wireless.

Unlike the original model, Xperia Z4v will boast a Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution display, a slightly larger 3,000 mAh battery, as well as Qi and PMA wireless charging support.

After launching the Xperia M4 Aqua Dual and Xperia C4 Dual in India, Sony plans to bring its flagship smartphone in the country as well.

According to a new report, the Xperia Z3+ has been recently spotted at Zauba. Now, if we are to corroborate this information with the fact that Sony India has already confirmed a launch event for June 26, it would make sense to believe the Xperia Z3+ will be introduced on that date.

However, it's still unclear how Sony will name its flagship smartphone in India, though everything points to an Xperia Z3+ name, which is used for the international version of Xperia Z4.

No word on pricing options and availability for the moment

When it comes to specs, customers in India should not hope to get a similar device as the Xperia Z4v, so no Quad HD display or better battery.

This means that you will get the standard Xperia Z3+ with 5.2-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

It will also come equipped with a 64-bit 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 430 graphics processing unit, 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory.

The smartphone also packs microSD card slot for memory expansion, as well as an impressive 20.7-megapixel camera on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and 4K video recording.
