Sony has just unveiled its slightly improved version of last year's flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z3, and the handset is already available for pre-order.

Although the Japanese company announced the Xperia Z3+ should be out sometime in June, it looks like those who absolutely need to pre-order the smartphone can do so via UK-based retailer Clove.

Obviously, you will need to pay a fortune to pre-order the Xperia Z3+, but for some this isn't really an issue. According to Clove, Sony Xperia Z3+ costs £550 ($845/€775) outright (unlocked and SIM free). It comes in Copper, Black and White color options.

The retailer also claims it will begin shipping the smartphone in late June. Obviously, the release date might change in the coming weeks, but at least we now have a tentative timeframe.

Sony Xperia Z3+ will ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box and will pack a powerful 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, complemented by an Adreno 430 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM.

It should pop up in other European countries soon

Storage-wise, there won't be multiple versions of Xperia Z3+ available on the market, so customers will only be able to grab the 32GB model. But more internal memory can be added, up to 128GB, via microSD card slot.

The Xperia Z3+ is IP68 certified and sports a decent 5.2-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

Another selling point would be the impressive 20.7-megapixel camera on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and 4K video recording. There's also a 5.1-megapixel camera in the front for selfies and video calls.

Sony's new high-end smartphone offers LTE support, as well as Bluetooth 4.1, GPS with AGPS, NFC (Near Field Communication), and microUSB 2.0.

The Xperia Z3+ is powered by a 2930 mAh non-removable battery, which is rated for up to 580 hours of standby time or up to 12 hours (17 hours in 3G mode) of talk time.

We expect Sony Xperia Z3+ to pop up in other European countries in the coming weeks, so if you're looking to buy this smartphone, stay tuned.
