Sony’s flagship smartphone is about to debut in Mexico in the next couple of week. Fans of the Japanese brand will be pleased to know that the Xperia Z2 is now available for pre-order via Sony Store for M$ 11,999 outright, which is about $930 USD or 680 EUR.

According to XperiaBlog, customers in Mexico can grab the unlocked version of Sony Xperia Z2, even though the smartphone was tagged as being locked to Telcel a few days ago.

The pre-order page now shows the Xperia Z2 as being unlocked, so there’s no reason to believe it will be exclusive to Telcel anymore.

Potential customers should know that Sony Mobile offers some freebies to those who pre-order the Xperia Z2, including a SmartBand SWR10 and a Bluetooth headset MBH10, along with a protective case.

Sony has yet to officially confirm when the smartphone will go on sale in Mexico, but according to Sony Store, all Xperia Z2 pre-orders should be delivered beginning June 6. This means that Sony Xperia Z2 might hit shelves as early as the first week of June.

Even though Sony has announced that the Xperia Z2 will be available in purple, black and white, customers in Mexico will have to hurry up if they wish to secure their favorite color option, as stocks might be limited.

As expected, the flagship handset will ship with Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system out of the box, so there’s no need to wait for the update anymore.

The stunning display, enhanced camera and high-capacity battery are among the most important features of the Xperia Z2, but the powerful processor and LTE-Advanced support are definitely worth mentioning as well.

The 5.2-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Sony’s TRILUMINOUS and X-Reality Engine technologies.

The 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor inside the Xperia Z2 is complemented by an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit and no less than 3GB of RAM.

Although it comes with 16GB of storage, users can further expand internal memory up to 128GB via microSD card slot. Aside from the already mentioned LTE Cat.4 support, Xperia Z2 offers additional connectivity options, such as HSDPA (42Mbps), NFC (Near Field Communication), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP.

Last but not least, the phone’s non-removable 3200 mAh battery should provide up to 690 hours (740 hours in 3G mode) of standby time or up to 15 hours (19 hours in 3G mode) of talk time.
