Last week, in a series of articles we highlighted some problems early adopters of Sony’s new flagship tablet, the Xperia Z2 Tablet have encountered.

Today, we’re going to add a few more issues to the list. It appears Sony was a bit in a rush when it launched the device, so it failed to complete the appropriate and necessary thorough testing before rolling out the device into the wild.

One of the most annoying problems we told you about was related to severe touchscreen unresponsiveness problems, which rendered the tablet almost unusable.

Luckily, Sony has taken notice of the plague affecting an important number of users and has rolled out a firmware update in the hopes of solving the problem. The new version number 17.11.A.0.402 is now currently up for download for Wi-Fi and LTE models.

Sadly, it turns out that’s not all that is wrong with Xperia Z2 Tablet. As Digital Trends reports, some users of the device have found the tablet doesn't turn on, even if the battery levels are not yet drained out.

If something like this has happened to you, you might want to try holding down the power button and the volume up for a few seconds until you feel the tablet vibrating three times. After which you should be able to turn it on again.

If this doesn't work, try looking under the flap where the microSD card goes. You’ll probably notice a red button that needs to be pressed for a few second using some kind of blunt object. Then you’ll have to try and turn it on again.

If this solution doesn't have any effect either, you should try leaving your slate to charge at least for one hour and see what happens afterwards.

Another problem Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet has been dealing with is a failing Wi-Fi connection, when the device is definitely in the vicinity of Wi-Fi.

Solutions to this problem might be turning off your Xperia tablet and your router and then turning both back on.

Or you can go to Settings > Wi-Fi and tap on the three dots at the bottom right to view more options. Also, check Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep is set to Always. You could also try unchecking Avoid poor connections in case this has been ticked and see if this makes any difference to your connection.

Another solution involves going to Settings > Wi-Fi and long pressing on the current connection. Then tap Forget network and set it up again.

Wi-Fi issues might be fixed by changing the channel or mode on the router. Using Wi-Fi Analyzer will give you an idea of how busy the channels around are.
