Xperia Z2, the latest Android-based flagship handset from Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile, is now available for purchase in Taiwan with a price tag of NT$23900 ($783/€566/£475) attached to it.

The mobile phone was made official last month, during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, and has already landed on pre-order in various European markets, but it has not been shipping as of now.

However, users in Taiwan can now officially grab it in three color versions, including Black, White and Purple, a recent post on XperiaGuide notes.

At the same time, the new site notes that users who will purchase the phone will receive accessories such as noise cancelling MDR-NC31EM headphones, along with Sony Magnetic Charging Dock DK36 in the box.

The mobile phone lands on shelves in Taiwan with all of the features and capabilities that have been announced for it packed inside, starting with the 5.2-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) resolution.

The mobile phone also comes to shelves with a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8974AB Snapdragon 801 Krait 400 processor inside, paired with Adreno 330 and with 3GB of RAM, which means that it will be able to deliver great performance capabilities to all of its users.

Moreover, Sony’s flagship device features a 20.7-megapixel camera on the back, with LED flash, a 1/2.3'' sensor size, HDR, and 4K video recording capabilities, complemented by a 2.2MP front camera for making video calls while on the go.

Sony also unveiled the handset with all of the usual connectivity capabilities packed inside, such as 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, and Wi-Fi hotspot. At the same time, the high-end smartphone features a built-in GPS receiver for navigation purposes.

Xperia Z2 was launched with 16GB of internal memory, but it also sports a microSD memory card slot, which allows users to add up to 128GB of external storage space to it.

The mobile phone is powered by a Li-Ion 3200mAh battery, which should offer up to 19 hours of talk time, or up to 740 hours of standby time. It measures 146.8 x 73.3 x 8.2mm and weighs 163 grams, while featuring a dust-proof and water-resistant body (IP58 certified).

Sony Xperia Z2 was launched with Google’s Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system loaded on top, as well as with a nice range of exclusive applications and features coming from Sony itself. It is set to arrive in various markets worldwide in the beginning of the next month.
