Sony’s upcoming Xperia Z2 smartphone made headlines quite a few times lately, yet an official confirmation on the device hasn’t emerged as of now, and we’re still in the dark regarding its looks and capabilities.

Before Sony’s announcement on this device emerges, however, users can make an idea of what could potentially come their way, courtesy of a concept phone from Jermaine Smit.

The smartphone sports a slim, highly appealing outer design, as well as realistic specifications, as concept-phones notes.

Just as the rumored Xperia Z2, the concept device comes with a 5.2-inch touchscreen display, as well as with a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor inside. Moreover, it sports 3GB of RAM, along with 16GB of internal memory.

On the back, the handset has a 23-megapixel camera, capable of recording videos in full HD or higher resolution, paired with a front camera for making video calls while on the go.

The handset’s screen should be able to deliver a full HD or a quad HD resolution, just as other forthcoming flagship smartphones out there are expected to.

The Xperia Z2 concept also comes with a brand new interface, inspired from what the recently leaked screenshots from Xperia Sirius unveiled.

At the same time, it sports a wraparound screen message indicator, Sony G lens for the back camera, and a narrower frame.

The concept phone shows an elegant, elongated design, which might appeal a lot to users in the event that Sony actually adopts it. I’m already sold, I have to admit it.

You can have a closer look at the Xperia Z2 concept phone in the video embedded below. One thing that you need to keep in mind, however, is that this is only a concept, and that the smartphone that Sony is expected to announce in the not too distant future might be completely different.
