Starting today, mobile phone users in Canada can purchase the latest flagship Android-based handset from Sony, namely the Xperia Z2, as the smartphone has become available in the country on the network of wireless carrier Bell.

The smartphone has gone up for sale at the carrier with a price tag of $179.95 (€118) attached to it, with the signing of a two-year contract agreement. However, those who would rather grab it without a contract will have to get $699.95 (€461) out of their pockets.

The phone can be seen listed on Bell’s website with all the features and capabilities it went official with in February, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, starting with its 5.2-inch touchscreen display, that can deliver a full HD resolution.

Moreover, it arrives on shelves with a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor inside, 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory. Not to mention a microSD memory card slot available for expansion purposes.

On the back, the smartphone features a 20.7-megapixel camera with 4K video recording capabilities, paired with a 2MP front camera for video calling. It comes with 4G LTE support, as well as with all the other usual connectivity capabilities included.

Sony Xperia Z2 runs under the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system, with the Xperia UI loaded on top, as well as with a series of exclusive apps and services from Bell, as MobileSyrup notes.
