Sony Mobile is reportedly getting ready for the launch of a new set of Xperia smartphones in China, and some of these have already received the necessary approvals in the country.

No official announcement on these phones has been made as of now, but their model numbers are already known, which allows us to make an idea of what they might have to offer when released, as XperiaBlog notes.

One of the newly approved devices is the M51w, which is said to be launched as the long-rumored Xperia Z1 mini. The second one is the L39u, supposedly a new version of the Xperia Z1, most probably aimed at China Unicom’s WCDMA network.

Additionally, Sony is getting ready for the launch of a device featuring model number XM50h, supposedly a mid-range handset featuring a 6-inch display. The phone is said to be codenamed Tianchi and to pack a MediaTek CPU inside.
