Xperia Z1 Compact, the latest Android-based smartphone from Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile, has started to arrive in users’ hands in various markets around Europe.

The mobile phone went up for purchase in a series of countries on the old continent last week, and it is now shipping from Sony’s Online Stores to those who have ordered it.

People in Sweden were the first to be able to purchase the device through Sony’s own portal, and they are also among the first to be receiving their orders, a recent post on XperiaGuide notes.

The phone was launched in the country via Sony's website with a price tag of 4,695 SEK ($718, €530, £440) attached to it, in Black, Lime, and Pink color versions. Apparently, users interested in grabbing the White variant of the device will still have to reserve it in advance, while expecting their unit to ship soon.

In Poland, the Xperia Z1 Compact was launched with a price tag of 1,999 Polish Złoty ($638, €473, £391) attached, and is available in stock in all four color variants.

Users in the Netherlands can also grab the phone from Sony’s Online Store, though they will have to pay a bit more for it, namely €549 ($742/£456). At the moment, only the Pink flavor is in stock, while the other three are on backorder.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Xperia Z1 Compact was announced in early January as the smaller version of the Xperia Z1, the latest flagship handset from Sony Mobile.

The smartphone comes to the market with a 4.3-inch full HD touchscreen display, a 2.26GHz quad-core processor, and 2GB of RAM. Moreover, it features 16GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

On the back, the handset packs a 20.7-megapixel camera with full HD video recording, paired with a 2MP front camera for making video calls. The usual set of connectivity capabilities can also be found inside it.
