The handset was launched at 15,380 Taiwan Dollars ($507/€375)

Today, Sony Mobile has officially launched its Xperia Z1 Compact smartphone in Taiwan, making it available for purchase in a Lime flavor.

The handset sports a price tag of 15,380 Taiwan Dollars ($507/€375) attached to it, and is set to arrive in the country in other color versions as well in the near future, as juggly reports.

Sony Xperia Z1 Compact arrives on the market with a 4.3-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) touchscreen display, as well as with a 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor packed inside.

The mobile phone also features 2GB of RAM inside, 16GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes. Moreover, it comes with a 20.7-megapixel camera on the back, and with a front camera for video calling.

Xperia Z1 Compact is powered by a 2300 mAh battery and runs under the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system (it is expected to be upgraded to Android 4.4 KitKat).
