Users in Europe can now learn more on the price tag that Sony’s new Xperia Z1 Compact might feature in their countries, as the device has also emerged at a retailer in Finland.

Users in this market can now see the handset on this page on verkkokauppa’s website, with a price tag of €549.90 ($747) attached to it.

Yesterday, the smartphone emerged at retailers in the UK and other European countries, with Germany having it priced the lowest, at only €499 ($678), SIM-free.

The Xperia Z1 Compact is expected to become available for purchase as soon as the next month and chances are that it will be priced lower than that when released.

The smartphone lands on the market as the smaller version of the Xperia Z1, though it packs high-end hardware inside, the same as its predecessor.

The Xperia Z1 Compact was made official with a 2.2 GHz quad-core MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 processor inside, as well as with Adreno 330 graphics and with 2GB of RAM.

It comes with a 4.3-inch 720p touchscreen display and with 16GB of internal memory, as well as with a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

On the back, the new mobile phone features a 20-megapixel camera with support for full HD video recording, complemented by a front camera for making video calls.

The specs list of this smartphone also includes a Li-Ion 2300 mAh battery that can deliver up to 18 hours of talk time, along with NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE and 3G connectivity. It also sports a built-in GPS receiver, as well as the usual set of connectivity options inside.

The new Sony Xperia Z1 Compact arrives on the market with Google’s Android OS 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top, but it should receive an update to the newer Android 4.4 KitKat in the not too distant future.
