It looks like Android enthusiasts in Australia will soon be able to get their hands on the recently announced Sony Xperia Z.

AusDroid reports that Vodafone Australia has just confirmed via Google+ that Xperia Z arrived in its testing labs on January 25.

This means it shouldn’t take more than a month until the carrier puts the Xperia Z on sale, provided that everything goes well with the testing process.

Sony Xperia Z is expected to make its debut in Japan on February 9 and is slated for a mid-February release in Europe as well.

The smartphone ships with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, but Sony confirmed that an upgrade to Android 4.2 will be available soon after launch. More details on the Xperia Z specs sheet are available here.
