Just yesterday we saw Sony announce the Xperia Tablet Z2, saying it is the “slimmest and lightest waterproof tablet” in the world.

Even if the tablet has barely arrived into the world, I’m able to bring you the details regarding its price in Europe.

The 16GB Wi-Fi only variant will sell for $685 / €499 in most European markets (Xperia blog has set up a full list by country) while the 32GB Wi-Fi model will be up for grabs for $729 / €549. Last but not least, the most expensive in the bunch will be available for $864 / €629 (the 16GB LTE model).

Customers in the UK placing a pre-order now can expect to see the tablet ship out starting March 18. As for other European countries including Germany or France, the slate should arrive in early April.

Sony is also throwing in an extended 3-year warranty for €1 / $1.38, but in the UK customers are being offered one for free. So far I don’t have any information of when the tablet makes it to the US.

The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet is the successor of last year’s Sony Xperia Tablet Z and comes bundling Qualcomm’s new 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, a 10-inch Full HD display with Live Color LED technology and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
