Sony has begun shipping the Xperia Tablet S in the United Kingdom, finally answering the one question that was left from IFA 2012: when will availability ramp up?

This is the fabled waterproof camera. You can see a video of it running under a stream of water here.

Sony UK wants £329 in exchange for the 16 GB model, and £379 for the 32 GB one.

That's the rough equivalent of $523 / 414 Euro and $602 / 477 Euro, respectively.

You'll find three different models up for order on this page of Sony's official website. Speaking of which, the third tablet costs £429 ($682 / 540 Euro) and has support for 3G.

The specs are clearly spelled out at the end of the link above, so we'll only repeat the essentials: Xperia tablet S uses an NVIDIA Tegra 3 ARM SoC and the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
