14 DAY TRIAL // Starting today, mobile phone users in the UK interested in the purchase of a new, affordable smartphone can head over to Carphone Warehouse to grab the Sony Xperia T3.
The mobile phone was made official several weeks ago, but it has already started rolling out on shelves around the world, and Carphone Warehouse will be its exclusive retailer in the UK, it seems.
The handset has been available for pre-order in the country for a while now, and can be seen on this page at the retailer, priced at £0 upfront on £22.50 ($38/€28) per month plans.
One thing that you should know, however, is the fact that, while the handset is in stock at the retailer today, ordered units will not arrive at your doorsteps until Monday, August 4.
Sony Xperia T3 was made official as a large mid-range smartphone, though it still packs a series of features usually found inside high-end devices.
“With its beautiful design and spectacular large screen, the Sony Xperia T3 is the perfect phone for anyone who loves style and watching videos,” the retailer notes.
For those out of the loop, we should note that Xperia T3 went official with a 5.3-inch IPS LCD touchscreen display capable of delivering a 720 x 1280 pixels resolution.
The mobile phone is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8928-2 Snapdragon 400 processor, paired with Adreno 305 graphics and 1GB of RAM.
Moreover, the handset lands on the market with 8GB of internal memory, as well as with a microSD memory card slot that supports up to 32GB of additional storage space.
On the back, the smartphone features an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and full HD video recording capabilities, complemented by a 1.1MP front camera for making video calls while on the go.
The hardware specifications list of this device also includes 4G LTE connectivity, along with 3G (HSDPA, 42 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.8 Mbps), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, NFC, and built-in GPS receiver.
Sony Xperia T3 is powered by a Li-Ion 2500mAh battery that can deliver up to 14 hours and 47 minutes of talk time on 3G networks, or up to 688 hours of standby time.
The handset runs under the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system, but also sports a variety of exclusive applications and capabilities coming from Sony itself. At Carphone Warehouse, Xperia T3 is available in three color flavors at the moment, namely Black, Purple, and White.
