We already know that Sony Mobile plans to bring the Xperia T3 mid-range smartphone in Canada through multiple local carriers, but no details on the exact release date and price tag have been unveiled at the time of the announcement.

However, it looks like the folks over at MobileSyrup have managed to secure an internal document that confirms that Sony Xperia T3 will be available at Bell Canada on August 7 for an outright price of $400 (€270).

Although the document does not mention when the smartphone will be available at other carriers, we expect the Xperia T3 to arrive at Virgin Mobile and SaskTel around the same timeframe and for the same price.

Customers who can’t afford the upfront price of the Xperia T3 should expect the smartphone to be available for around $50 (€35) on 2-year agreements.

In fact, it may also be available for free on 2-year contracts, but this is just a speculation for the moment, so take it with a grain of salt until Bell announces that the smartphone is available for purchase through its official retail channels.

The smartphone is likely to be available in multiple color options, including black, white and purple. Sadly, it’s unclear if all three options will be launched at Bell on August 7, so we will keep you in the loop once the phone goes on sale later this week.

For those still deciding whether or not to purchase the Xperia T3, here is a quick rundown of the smartphone’s features. First of all, the handset will ship with the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system out of the box, so there’s no need to wait for the update.

The smartphone sports a large 5.3-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features TRILUMINOUS and Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 technologies.

On the inside, the Xperia T3 is armed with a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, an Adreno 305 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM. These are the standard specs for a mid-range smartphone, so there are no surprises here.

It’s also worth mentioning that Sony’s handset is packed with only 8GB of internal memory, but users can further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

There’s also an enhanced 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while on the front there’s a secondary 1.1-megapixel camera for video calls.

When it comes to connectivity, the Xperia T3 is an all-rounder, as the phone offers a wide range of options, including LTE Cat4 and HSDPA (42Mbps), along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS with A-GPS support.
