Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile has started rolling out a new software update to the owners of Xperia T2 Ultra smartphones out there, in the form of firmware version 19.0.D.0.253.

The new release is available for both Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia T2 Ultra Dual devices out there, though there’s no telling how long it needs to arrive for all users.

Unfortunately, no specific info on the enhancements included in the new release has been provided as of now, and chances are that there are only minor bug fixes and performance improvements available as part of it.

According to a recent post on XperiaGuide, users interested in grabbing the update for their Xperia T2 Ultra Dual D5322 devices will need to launch the PC Companion application on their computers for that.

The update is said to have been confirmed to be live in China. Users should connect their handsets to a PC, launch said app and see if they are notified to update the smartphone.

However, users can also find the ftf file for this update available for the D5322 device model online now in Australia, which can be installed on handsets through the latest version of FlashTool (0.9.14.0). However, users might want to wait for the official release to land on their phones.
