Unveiled last month, Sony Xperia T2 Ultra has just made its debut in India. Surprisingly though, Sony has introduced the single-SIM version of the smartphone in India instead of the dual-SIM variant that would have been more popular.

According to AndroidOS, the Xperia T2 Ultra is now available for purchase via authorized retailers across the country for no less than Rs 32,000 ($515 / €375) outright.

The smartphone ships with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, but is likely to receive a KitKat upgrade in the coming months.

As we have mentioned earlier, it does not offer dual-SIM support, but includes a wide range of connectivity options, like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB and GPS with A-GPS.

Sony Xperia T2 Ultra is a mid-range Android smartphone, which makes the Rs 32,000 outright price a bit higher than expected.

The smartphone is equipped with a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, an Adreno 305 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

It is also worth mentioning that the handset packs only 8GB of internal memory, but users will be able to further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

Another strong point of the Xperia T2 Ultra is the huge 6-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution. The phone's display features TRILUMINOUS and Mobile BRAVIA engine 2 technologies.

On the back, the device features a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash, HDR and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 1.1-megapixel camera for video calls.

Sony Xperia T2 Ultra is powered by a high-capacity 3,000 mAh battery, which should provide up to 1071 hours of standby time (up to 1046 hours in 3G mode) or up to 14 hours of talk time (up to 24 hours in 3G mode).
