Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile has made available some appealing smartphones this year, including one that did not get the change to be overly detailed, in the form of Sony Xperia T2 Ultra.

The smartphone was made official back in January, but the unveiling of Xperia Z2 in February pushed it to the back raw a bit.

However, the device is coming to the market, and it might not be too long at all before it makes an official appearance on shelves, it seems.

Moreover, it seems that Sony will make it available for purchase in various countries around the world, including China, which might actually be among the first to receive it.

Proof of that comes from digi-wo, where photos with the phone’s retail package have emerged, signaling its near availability.

What should be noted here, however, is the fact that the smartphone is set to land on shelves at China Unicom in the country with model number XM50h attached to it, and with dual-SIM capabilities packed inside.

As XperiaBlog notes, it should not be too long before the mobile phone is actually put up for sale, although an official announcement on this hasn’t been provided as of now.

Until that happens, however, you can have a closer look at the photos with the aforementioned retail packaging, given that it should not be too different for the international version of the handset.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Sony unveiled the Xperia T2 Ultra with a 6-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 720p resolution.

The handset also includes a 1.4GHz quad-core MSM8928 processor inside, along with Adreno 305 graphics, and 1GB of RAM.

Moreover, the phone features 8GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot, and a 3000mAh battery. Sony also announced it with LTE, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, as well as with a built-in GPS receiver.

On the back, Xperia T2 Ultra features a 13-megapixel camera with support for full HD video recording, complemented by a 1.1MP front camera for making video calls.

The smartphone was launched with the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top, yet Sony is expected to provide it with an update to the newer Android 4.4 KitKat platform version in the not too distant future.

As mentioned above, more info on the availability of Sony Xperia T2 Ultra should start arriving in the near future, so stay tuned to learn more on the matter.
