One day after receiving PTCRB certification, the new Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean software update has started to arrive on Sony Mobile’s Xperia T (LT30p) smartphones.

A recent post on XperiaBlog notes that the firmware version is the same as the one that emerged over at the PTCRB website, namely 9.1.A.0.489, featuring the 3.4.0 kernel.

For the time being, however, no specific info on the regions that started receiving the update has emerged, though it seems that users in the Netherlands did manage to install it on their smartphones.

Sony Mobile did promise the update in the February – March timeframe a while ago, and it seems that it has finally completed the development process, and that the new update is ready for deployment.

This also means that the company might announce specific details on the roll-out shortly, so stay tuned to learn more on it.
