The Android-based smartphone should hit shelves soon

Xperia T, one of the most appealing new Android smartphones that Sony Mobile has unveiled to the world, has just received approvals from the FCC with support for US-friendly bands.

The phone was seen before at the feds, but without the network support it needed to deliver a fast mobile experience in the country (it was the international Xperia Mint Rita LT30p, as Engadget notes).

However, FCC has also approved the Xperia Mint Amy LT30at with support for AT&T’s LTE network (bands 4 and 17, with bands 2 and 5 supported too), and with documents specifically mentioning the wireless carrier.

Sony has already confirmed that its Android-powered Xperia T would be released in the UK at the end of September, and it remains to be seen when AT&T will add it to its offering as well.
