Virgin Mobile customers in Canada will be happy to know that Sony has teamed up with the Canadian carrier to offer them the Xperia SP Android smartphones.

MobileSyrup reports that the first units have already started to arrive at Virgin Mobile online and store locations, so it’s just a matter of a few days until the devices go on sale.

According to the cited source, Sony Xperia SP will be available for only $300 outright, which is a pretty good price considering the phone’s hardware configuration.

The Xperia SP is powered by Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system and packs a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor, which is complemented by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

The phone sports a large 4.6-inch HD (720p) capacitive touchscreen display, an 8-megapixel rear photo snapper and microSD card slot for memory expansion.
