One week ago Sony delivered a new firmware version for Xperia T/TX, which added several new features and improvements.

Today, the folks over at XperiaBlog report Sony has started to push a new software update for the Xperia S. Dubbed 6.1.A.2.55, the new firmware is now rolled out OTA (over the air) in Singapore.

This is just another Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich update, so there shouldn't be too many major additions included that might completely change users' experience.

We don't have any additional details on when exactly the new firmware version is rolled out globally, but it shouldn't take too long for Sony to make it available on all Xperia S units.

The only thing that can be said for certain about this update is that it includes a new baseband. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
