One of the first Sony smartphones to ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich onboard, the Xperia miro is now available for pre-order in the UK.

Leading retailer Clove is now offering customers the chance to pre-purchase the smartphone for only 105 GBP (165 USD or 130 EUR) outright.

However, the authorized reseller does not offer an exact release date for the device, so those who want to know when it goes on sale should keep an eye on Clove’s online store.

Made official back in June, Sony Xperia miro and Xperia go are among the affordable ICS-based smartphones announced in the past few months.

Both devices have been leaked earlier this year along with Sony’s entire Android roadmap for the first three quarters of the year.

Also known as Sony ST23i, the Xperia miro is equipped with a low-performance 800 MHz single-core Qualcomm MSM7225A processor, which is just enough to run Google’s Android 4.0 ICS operating system.

On the inside, the handset packs 512MB of RAM, absolutely needed to offer a smooth Android experience. Furthermore, Sony Xperia miro includes 4GB of internal memory, but only 2.2GB are user available.

The 3.5-inch LED-backlit LCD capacitive touchscreen display supports 320 x 480 pixels resolution and is based on Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine. It is also worth mentioning that the screen features anti-reflective coating.

There’s also a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, a secondary VGA front-facing camera for video calls, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Last but not least, Sony Xperia miro drains energy from a 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 470 hours of standby time (545 hours in 3G mode) or up to 5 hours of talk time (6 hours in 3G mode). Check it out here.
