Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile has reportedly started to deliver a new firmware update to the owners of Xperia L smartphones out there, namely version 15.3.A.1.12.

The software has received the necessary approvals from PTCRB about a week ago, and it is already rolling out in Malaysia, both through the PC Companion and via SUS, XperiaGuide reports.

Apparently, the new release does not bring the smartphone up to a newer version of the Android platform, and users will continue enjoying the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS even after updating.

However, the firmware is said to bring along a nice range of enhancements, despite the fact that no official changelog has been provided as of now.

The rollout will be performed in stages, which means that not all users out there will be receiving it right from the start. Stay tuned for more on the matter.
