A stylish, 4-inch Android-based smartphone with social media features

Sony’s Xperia J is yet another new smartphone set to become available for purchase in the UK on the network of Three, the wireless carrier has officially confirmed today.

The smartphone comes with a large 4-inch touchscreen display, as well as with DLNA connectivity, Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform loaded on it, and a wide range of social networking features packed inside.

“The eye-catching Sony Xperia J features a stylish arc design with an illumination light at the base of the phone – perfect for alerting users to new Twitter and Facebook messages,” the wireless carrier noted.

“Additionally, the smartphone features a large 4” scratch-resistant display offering fantastic clarity when viewing pictures, playing games and streaming video and with DLNA contactless connectivity, viewing content on a tablet, TV or PC is seamless.”

In addition to the 4-inch FWVGA touchscreen display, the new mobile phone also packs a 5-megapixel auto-focus photo snapper on the back, with LED flash and HD video recording capabilities.

Moreover, it sports a front camera for making video calls, as well as Sony Audio Technology to deliver clear audio, bass and xLoud for crisp sound quality.

The handset is only 9.2mm slim, sports a stylish design, and packs illumination notifications for social media updates.

At the moment, the smartphone is tagged as coming soon to Three UK’s network, but no specific info on its release date or pricing has been made official as of yet.
