It looks like Canadian carrier Bell plans to add the affordable Sony Xperia J to its portfolio of Android smartphones.

The folks over at MobileSyrup have just been tipped on the upcoming availability of the smartphone, which is likely to sell for around $200/€150 off contract. The Xperia J will arrive at Bell on March 27.

The smartphone will ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and a 1GHz single-core processor inside.

Furthermore, the Xperia J sports a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 854 pixels resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass coating.

On the inside, the device packs 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB). A 5-megapixel rear camera is included as well, along with a VGA front-facing camera for video calls.
