Good news for the Xperia go owners – major French carrier SFR plans to launch the hotly-anticipated Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update sometime this month.

The folks over at XperiaBlog have been recently tipped on the upcoming release of the update, which is mentioned in an “upgrade software timetable” tagged with SFR’s official logo.

Although there’s no telling on how accurate the information is, this is the first mention of the Jelly Bean update for Xperia go in a long time.

In the same piece of news, Xperia S is mentioned in this document as well, but SFR states Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean for this handset will be available at some point in May.

We recommend Xperia go owners to take this information with a tint of salt, as Sony has yet to confirm the exact release date of the Jelly Bean update. Stay tuned.
