One of the features that Android has been rumored not long ago to pack in the not too distant future is support for 64-bit processors, which should enable devices configurations that are not possible at the moment.

One of these would include boosting the amount of RAM inside future smartphones to new, impressive levels, and one concept device to illustrate this is now available for your viewing pleasure.

We’re referring to Sony Xperia Edge, which comes from Oky Aditya and which, as concept-phones notes, packs no less than 8GB of RAM inside.

The mobile phone is also said to include a 2.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 1000 processor inside, a futuristic CPU that might never be officially announced.

The specifications list of the new device is also said to include a 5-inch touchscreen display, most probably capable of delivering a full HD resolution.

The concept device was also imagined with a GeForce GTX 300 for mobile graphics processor inside, as well as with 128GB of internal memory right from the start.

On the back, the Sony Xperia Edge would feature a 20.7-megapixel camera with 1/2.3 inch sensor, as well as a 5-megapixel camera on the front, for video calling capabilities.

The concept mobile phone is also said to include Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, NFC capabilities, USB on the go, and MHL port. The smartphone is powered by an impressively large 5000mAh battery.

Sony Xperia Edge is running under the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, while also featuring a nice range of software enhancements and applications.

Some of these include a Guest Mode, Walkman Studio Audio, Xperia FingerPrint System Security, and more. The phone also sports various camera features, so as to deliver a great imaging experience to all users.

Unfortunately, the handset is only the result of an enthusiast’s imagination at the moment, and it might never arrive on shelves, in this form or another.
