So, if you've been patiently waiting for the 4G version of the regular Sony Xperia E4, then you will be pleased to know that the smartphone is now available for purchase in Europe.

One particular major retailer in the UK is now selling the Xperia E4g for only £125 (€170 / $185) outright, which isn't too high considering its specs.

Clove UK offers either black or white version of Sony Xperia E4g and we expect the smartphone to hit shelves in other European countries as well.

Even though this is a mid-range smartphone, Sony promised that while the Xperia E4g will ship with Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box, it's expected to receive a Lollipop upgrade sometime later this year.

Sony also announced that Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3, two other mid-range smartphones will receive the long-awaited Android 5.0 Lollipop update in the coming weeks.

Anyway, the E4g comes with pretty decent specs such as 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6732 processor, Mali-T760MP2 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

Also, Sony's smartphone is packed with 8GB of internal memory, but users will be able to further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

As the name suggests, the handset offers 4G LTE support, along with other connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, GPS with AGPS and GLONASS, NFC (Near Field Communication), FM Radio and microUSB 2.0.

Sony Xperia E4g sports a 4.7-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution, which features scratch-resistant glass.

On the back, the handset packs a 5-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 2-megapixel camera for video calls.

The smartphone is powered by a non-removable 2,300 mAh battery, which is rated for up to 695 hours of standby time or up to 12 hours of talk time.
