We reported yesterday some Indian retailers had kicked off pre-orders for Sony Xperia E and Xperia E dual smartphones, and now Infibeam confirmed customers can pre-purchase any of the two devices through its official sales channels.

Infibeam was also among the first to accept Xperia Z pre-orders last week, and also offered a bonus with each purchase.

Unfortunately, there are no bonus offers for Xperia E and Xperia E dual pre-orders, but given the phones’ low price, this might not affect their sale.

The Indian retailer offers the Xperia E for Rs 9,999 ($185 / €140), and the Xperia E dual for Rs 10,990 ($200 / €155) outright.

According to Infibeam, Sony Xperia E will ship 2-3 business days after the smartphone is released, which is March 20. The Xperia E dual, on the other hand, will be officially released in India ten days later, on March 30.

Both Xperia E and Xperia E dual will be launched with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and 1GHz single-core Qualcomm MSM7227A Snapdragon processors inside.

In fact, both handsets are similar when it comes to software and hardware configuration, but the Xperia E dual, as the name suggests, offers dual-SIM capability.

Aside from that, Android fans should expect only mid-range specs, such as 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen display with 320 x 480 pixels resolution, 3.2-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and video recording.

On the inside, both devices come equipped with a 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage, which can be further expanded via microSD memory card (up to 32GB).

Sony Xperia E and Xperia E dual drain energy from 1530 mAh Li-Ion battery, which, oddly enough, are rated by the manufacturer for the same standby time (530 hours) and talk time (6 hours). Stay tuned for more updates.
