Sony Xperia arc, Xperia arc S, Xperia ray and Live with Walkman are among the first 2011 Xperia smartphones to receive the latest Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich update (firmware version 4.1.B.0.587).This firmware update brings performance improvements and enhancements, but also fixes the notification LED.
However, the latter only works with missing calls, so Sony still has to deliver an update to fix the SMS issue.
The folks over at
XperiaBlog also noticed that there's a new '77' band. The dialer and the video recording features have been improved as well. Several
bug fixes are included as well, though they haven't been detailed yet.
The update is expected to be rolled out for all 2011 Xperia smartphones in the following weeks, so stay tuned for more info on the matter.
