After hearing that Microsoft is limiting access to Xbox Live for Xbox One consoles bought ahead of the official launch, Sony has revealed that customers who get early PlayStation 4 consoles won't encounter any restrictions.

Due to a retailer mistake, several Xbox One consoles were shipped to customers in the U.S., prompting Microsoft to ban the Xbox Live accounts of those who took their next-gen devices online, and then to confirm that the Xbox One won't be able to access the Xbox Live online service until its launch, on November 22.

Sony, on the other hand, isn't worried about early PlayStation 4 consoles and has confirmed through the voice of its Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida that users won't be banned for taking their next-gen devices online.

He has also confirmed on Twitter that no other restrictions are imposed on customers who get their consoles earlier than their official launch, on November 15 in North America and on November 29 in Europe.
