It appears that, even with all the hacking problems and amidst releases of many mobile devices, Sony is not losing sight of its other outlets, like the all-in-one industry, where it has offered the Vaio J series.

All-in-One systems may not have really gotten to a point where one can really call them affordable, at least compared to regular desktops and even notebooks, but they are still selling in a steady flow.

As such, it is no surprise to learn that Sony has built yet another system of this sort, one that is part of the Vaio product line.

Dubbed Vaio J series, the newcomer features a 21.5-inch screen which, while supporting Full HD resolutions (1,920 x 1,080 pixels), also features intuitive touch input support.

Of course, such features would be wasted on just any hardware configurations, so Sony made sure to put in an AMD Radeon HD 6470M graphics, to supplement the one integrated in the Core i5 central processing unit.

All in all, the newcomer should be more than ready to deliver a high-quality multimedia entertainment, with speakers equalized for optimum sound delivery even though they take up very little of the space beneath the LCD.

In fact, the S-Force 3D front surround technology conveys surround sound from said stereo speakers, while Dolby Home Theater recreates something akin to a cinematic experience.

What's more, the GDDR5 VRAM of the video solution and the rest of the hardware also makes sure that gaming prowess is none too shabby either.

Finally, Sony threw in a variety of media applications, like the “Touch Portal,” which basically organizes all touch applications on a single screen for easy access and launch.

Some of the things mentioned in the official announcement are the Family Paint image creating software (with finger input), Media gallery (browse through games, images, videos and music via touch) and the Vaio Gate on-screen launcher.

This month is when sales of the Vaio J are set to start, for $1,799, through Sony-Style shops and authorized outlets.
