Beside all of their multimedia-oriented products, Sony also brought to CES 2011 a couple of very interesting computing solutions, one of the most attractive being, without a doubt, the company's VAIO L Series touchscreen AIO PC, that also doubles as a HDTV. Without a doubt, the main selling point the desktop unit from Sony has in store is the 24-inch, Full HD multi-touch screen that also features Edge Access technology, which extends the touchable area of the screen to the LCD bezel, practically granting users access to more desktop space.

As mentioned before, the Vaio L Series comes packed with an NTSC/ATSC TV Tuner, while also providing a Blu-ray unit and a Dolby Home Theater technology, practically turning this thing into a full-fledged multimedia center (albeit at a fairly small scale).

Anyway, beside its extensive line of multimedia features, the L series touchscreen AIO PC also offers a very interesting hardware configuration, available CPU options going up to 2.66GHz (Q8400S) Intel Core 2 Quad Processor, accompanied by up to 8GB of RAM memory, an NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M GPU with 1GB dedicated VRAM, s well as an up to 2 TB (5400rpm) hard disk drive.

The device also packs plenty of communication options, including Ethernet (RJ-45) and Gigabit Ethernet 10Base-T/100Base-TX/1000Base-T interfaces, IEEE 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and integrated Stereo A2DP Bluetooth technology.

A Memory Stick PRO media slot and SD memory card slot have also been added to the mix.

The L Series AIO incorporates a webcam module powered by an Exmor image sensor for good performance even in low-light conditions, a built-in microphone, while also coming with a V-shape stand and a stylish wireless keyboard and wireless mouse.

According to Sony, their L Series Touchscreen AIO PC / HDTV Hybrid is already available for pre-order, pricing being set at $1200, which is not exactly a very small price, all things considered.
