Sony TX-Series is for people who want more than just an ultra-portable. It's for those who want the ultra-portable.

Available in three colour variations, the VAIO TX-Series was created for people who appreciate the finer things in life. People who recognise that indefinable extra dimension that makes some objects very much more desirable than others.

Of course style must be backed by substance. That's why the TX-Series is crafted from materials drawn from the worlds of Formula One racing and aerospace engineering. The casing is formed from carbon fibre laminate, a material both lighter and stronger even than magnesium alloy,
which gives the TX-Series its unique and exclusive look and feel.

The TX-series is every bit as advanced as it looks. The specially engineered, wafer-thin screen is based on LED technology and comes complete with Sony X-black LCD enhancement for brilliant colour and impressive brightness. At the heart of each system is an ultra-low voltage (ULV) Intel Pentium M processor, a key factor in the impressive battery life of up to seven and half hours. To achieve the unprecedented miniaturisation that makes the TX-Series possible, Sony developed an astonishingly small ten-layer motherboard no bigger than a postcard. This is how the TX became the smallest, lightest ultra-portable in its class, yet still has room for a fully integrated DVDRW drive, complete with the huge capacity advantage of Double Layer technology.

The core strength of the overall design is its balance of style and technology. Form follows function, which is why the 4.5mm razor-thin 11.1-inch widescreen display features a true 16:9 aspect ratio. This is perfectly adapted to displaying DVD movies and HD video with the absolute minimum of dead space around the edges of the picture. A full set of controls positioned conveniently above the keyboard turns the TX-Series into a portable AV player. At a touch of a button you can activate, control and eject your CDs or DVDs in an instant.

The TX-Series is without doubt a definitive example of high-tech miniaturisation and optimised ergonomics.
