Xperia U and Xperia sola will be unleashed on as soon as tomorrow

Sony is gearing up for the release of three new smartphones on the market in Malaysia, namely the Xperia P, Xperia U and Xperia sola.

All three devices run under Google’s Android 2.3 operating system (expected to taste Ice Cream Sandwich soon), and all three of them will land on shelves in the country in a week or so.

In fact, the Xperia U and Xperia sola will become available for purchase as soon as tomorrow, while the Xperia P is set to hit shelves on May 23rd.

When released, the Xperia U will feature a price tag of RM899 ($292 / €226) and will sport a car charger included in the package free of charge. The smartphone will arrive on the market in Malaysia in pink and white.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the smartphone packs a 3.5-inch 480 x 854-pixel touchscreen display, a 1GHz CPU, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, MicroSD card slot, and a 5MP camera on the back, with LED flash and video recording.

Xperia sola is said to go for RM999 ($325 / €252) in the local market, also paired with a car charger and with two SmartTags from Sony.

This device sports a 3.7-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a 480 x 854 pixels resolution, along with a 1 GHz dual-core CPU, 8 GB of internal memory, a 5MP camera on the back, with HD video recording, and 512MB of RAM.

As for the Xperia P, it will arrive on shelves in Malaysia on May 23rd with a price tag of RM1,499 ($488 / €378) attached to it. A Smart Headset, car charger and two SmartTags will also be included in the package.

The phone sports a larger 4.0-inch screen (540 x 960 pixels resolution), a 1 GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 chip inside, 1 GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, an 8MP camera on the back, with full HD video recording, and a front camera for video calling.
