With a quad-core CPU and full HD screen, it might be just wishful thinking

Samsung’s Galaxy Note might have opened the trend of Android-based phablets, but it seems that it might soon be dwarfed by new devices coming from other mobile phone makers around the world.

Following info on Huawei’s plans for a 6.1-inch smartphone, rumors on Sony’s plans for a similar device have started to emerge on the internet.

With a Snapdragon S4 APQ8064 1.5Ghz quad-core processor inside and 2GB of RAM, it should prove the beast that its rumored 6-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) display suggests it would be.

Sony has already been rumored to aim at launching new high-end Android devices next year, and this 6-inch behemoth might be one of them. Or, it could easily prove to be nothing more than simple forum talk in the end.

For the time being, it remains on the rumor side, but enthusiasts should keep their fingers crossed for it to pan out.
